Two Individuals Accused with Inmate Homicide of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences among them the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were taken as evidence.
